Drilldown Reports are identified by the Drilldown status in the Format Column.
The filters on the reports are almost identical to those in the standard reports.
Below is a sample Drilldown Report. The primary difference is that in a Drilldown report we can drag and drop elements to further tailor results.
For example, in blue are two columns, 'Law Type' And 'Problem Type'. These two are able to be further manipulated. Column header boxes have two icons next to their heading label. These two icons are the same as the search columns for Search Clients or Search Services. The arrow sorts the Column results in alphabetical order, or reverse alphabetical order respectively. The filter icon opens a list of options under this heading, allowing for individual options to be selected or de-selected, allowing for further 'Drilling' into the options.
In the example below these two columns provide two layers to the left side axis of the report. The first column signifies Law Type, which currently displays Criminal Law. The second column has a list of Problem Types, which is displaying Criminal Law Problem Types. The bottom row shows totals of each service type for all Criminal Law services (services being defined by the National Data Standards).
Columns can be manipulated by dragging the column header box to the area marked Drop Filter Fields Here.
By dragging and parking the Problem Type column to the top, 'Law Type' remains on the left axis, and the Problem Type breakdown has been removed. This leaves only the sub-totals of each law type (e.g. Criminal Law ) and a Grand Total (which was already present but not visible in the image above).
You are able to change the axis by dragging headings to different axis. In the example below we have brought 'Service Type' to the top axis. We can see columns are now split into Service Type (e.g. 'Discrete Non-Legal Support') and then further split into a Problem Type. If that Service Type does not have any services with a specific Problem Types attached, those sub-columns are not shown. This is a good example of the manipulation available in Drilldown reports.
Is is important to note that these reports are only able to be exported into excel or .csv files due to the layout of the report.
The customisability has a lot of variation, and too much to detail each possibility. It is recommended to explore the Drilldown reports on your own time as much as possible.
Have you got permission?
Like all things in CLASS, access to reports is dependent on the individual user's permissions and role. All Admin and Admin-Advanced Users will have automatic access to the reports module. Other Users can gain access via their centre's CLASS Administrator or by contacting the Helpdesk.
